Muggs: Yes it just got here!

I was getting worried because it was getting late in the day and I thought I missed the mailman and Monday there is no mail. I just unwrapped them all and they are beautiful and all in one piece. They are resting comfortably in a carton. Thanks so much

I was getting nervous!!! They are all marked...I bet the pencil just can't be seen. I sent one BCM and 2 Lav/Wellie OE's. I can't wait to see how your hatch goes! Let me know when you are ready for another hatch, and I'll send you some extras like I promised. Best of luck!!!

Update: 6 out of 7 Wheaten Ameraucana eggs have pipped and SLOWLY started zipping.
5 Lav Ams have hatched, 2 more have pipped and there are 4 more that have done nothing
1 OE (Lav Am/Wellie) that has pipped
3 BCM's, 1 other OE (Lav/Wellie), 1 BCM/Am OE, 1 Lav/NH (EE), 1 Buff Am, and 1 Silver Am that are doing nothing!

It is only day 20...but this hatching business always makes me nervous! AND I get itchy fingers...I so want to pick at the shells! I need to slap my own hand away.

Muggs: Yeah on the chickies!

Speaking of itchy fingers, I have to be patient and let these rest before putting them in bator. How long do you all let shipped eggs rest??? I am shooting for 8 hours on these, because then I can put them in right before I go to bed. Should I wait longer??

Oh and Muggs, there are 2 dark eggs marked BCM and one with nothing on it so I bet it is a OE. Can't wait to see what pops out of these!

I wait 24 hours...I've seen others put them in at 8 to 12 hours. I'm a worry wart though.

I am a worry wart too, so maybe I will wait till morning, that will be 19 hours.

You must be right! I made a quick note as I was wrapping them...I probably mixed up the numbers. My blonde from a bottle moment!

Well today we went to a small animal swap meet up in KY. My husband is such an enabler. He kept on saying how about that one or that one, but I had to keep on saying I just ordered 5 chicks. The coop can hold no more since I already have 4 at home. So I told him if we are to get more he would have to turn part of my tool shed into their coop. I am happy to say he didn't say no, he didn't say yes, but he didn't say no either. Crossing my fingers

I just can't get enough of these little buggers.
