Another OE baby hatched last night so that makes it 11/15 which is AWESOME compared to my last hatch which was 7/18!

Crud...last week I was going to count my brooders. Haven't done it. Now I need to count my ducklings! Oh. My. Goodness! Holderread's sent me 15 Welsh Harlequin and Saxony yesterday, I have 12 from McMurray (Rouen, Cayuga, Buff, Goden Star Hybrid, Runners, Blue Swedish), 6 from Sonew and Lovins (Crested Magpie x Khaki/Runners and Crested Cayugas), I hatched 2 Calls, 2 Silver Appleyards, and 12 BBS Cayugas. I repeat. Oh. My. Goodness! 49 Ducks! EEEKKK!!!
I SERIOUSLY didn't think the chicken math transcended to ducks!!!!

Just posted an ad on CL for the Cayugas.

That is an excellent hatch! After the heartache of lousy hatches last year, I feel anything over 50% is good! Congrats!​

Thank you. I'm totaly inlove with them! I think I ended up with 6 Black, 4 Blue, and 1 Splash. All but one has muffs/beards. I'm going to take some pictures today if it warms up ( and it looks like it is ).

Did I already tell you peepz my favorite chook turned up with a dozen fuzzies 2 days ago?? They're sooooo cute! She is a super-mom.

I knew she was broody in one of the rooms in the old barn, but heaven help me, I couldn't find her anywhere!

I was pretty sure her nest was under the barn floor, but it was so dark under there I couldn't see squat. When I was working Tuesday evening my little sister calls me and says "Aspen! Beepbeeb just turned up with 12 babies!!!" I was stunned I thought ..HTH??

Sure enough, when I got home my mom had caught her and put her and her little ones in a big dog carrier. I picked her up and out came a dozen fuzzies!!

It was so cute, my little hen is half game so she is pretty small for a LF chicken, so last night all the babies were under her but one and it could NOT figure out how to get under his momma! Everywhere he tryed to dive in a head popped out and he'd have try somewhere else. Finally, he made it under her. I was surprised she is such a good mom for being a 1st timer.
