I just went and looked at my barn, full of babies (5 weeks old) and just kept thinking.. I have TOO many chickens!! LOL.. Lesse, there's the seven in the front coop, the five in the growout coop (OE's, waiting to see what genders they end up as!), the 38 (!!!!!!!!!) in the barn and the 12 in the back coop. Thankfully rehoming a bunch of baby roos this weekend, but it's still too many chickens.

I hope to consolidate some soon as soon as my 'run in' coop is done.

Off topic - can you put chickens on a diet? One of my Brahmas is a huge fat mama.

She's not going to like the summer, I can tell already!

I sold 5 adult White Silkies to Linda on the NY thread. She was so sweet...completely looked past their appearance 2 months ago...they all had a bad case of coop boredom and picked feathers from each others faces.

One poor hen was completely bald on top. Can you begin to imagine what she looked like? Dark blue knobby head with white fluff from the neck down!

Linda loved them anyway and reported they are finally growing their feathers back in! Phew. I loved those Silkies, but they sure needed a place to get outside and stimulate their little alien minds!

I will have a beautifully wrapped box waiting for you at Lovins...with a few random holes...that you can not open till you get home! And a larger box for Mark. If Mark's box happens to oink...it is just a toy...no big deal.

Oh yes I wont tell him whats coming his way or he'll be screaming Bacon in his sleep and I aint having that! hahaha-Bad enough he yells out "cake" half the time wanna smack him in between the snores!
