This evening I was eating lunch and watching the peachicks on the porch playing. All the sudden one of my bigger males stuck his tail straight up in the air and started displaying for the ladies..and the other gentleman.

Then he did something that I DID NOT expect!

He jumped on my smallest peahen and BRED her???!!!

OMG!! These guys ( and girls ...) are ONLY around 5-6 m/o..they don't even fully mature until 3 years old? Should I start expecting eggs?

Anway, it was super funny and made me bust out laughing at the goofy guy!

Doesn't he know he's only a teenager and doesn't need to be breeding the ladies yet?

I'll be lurking around...

As someone who spends their days around teenagers, am I to understand you are surprised your teenage male is attempting to engage in sexual activities?? Ummm... Just saying...​
