Yep, if you switch to chrome and install adblock, you can get rid of the reviews column. It looks MUCH better now!I was wondering if there was a way to exit those ads and reviews out! Thanks!

my name is lcw1995
it started 5 yrs ago
i was given a barred rock hen
then november of that year i went to the ohio nationals and have just gotton more and more chickens
i currently have 8(i've downscaled alot)
and im ordering eggs from aubrey (BBB)
Ok, so my chicken addiction is at an all time high again. I put not just one, but two different orders of chicks today. I told my sweet DH I ordered about the same as we have now, just to double our flock of 15 chickens and replace the two ducks we lost this year. Instead I ordered 31+ chicks, 4 ducks, and 2 geese. I just told him, there might be a few extras but not to worry I have a few friends looking for some chicks. He is already building me two more coops, maybe I can talk him into just one moreif I'm really good. But I did promise him this would be it for the year, and no incubator. He would rather see extra chicks than an incubator running. Oh well maybe I'll be better next year![]()

Things I love about the start of the day:
Hearing the chicks (now 4 months old) calling to be let out of thier coop into the yard.
Getting the pellets and scratch grains together for the "crew" (made up of 8 adults and the 8 chicks).
Rounding the side of the house for the first sight of the crew all eagerly waiting to be let out of the coops to get the scratch grains.
Opening the doors and watching one by one as they run out of the coop (and doing a quick count as they do so).
Having a special favorite ("Cheep" a sebright chick) wait on the threashold of the coop looking up at me and crying to be picked up (ain't she spoiled!)
Feeling Cheep's smooth sleek feathers in my hands, hearing her "cheep, cheep" as I bring her to her group in the yard.
Watching all the chickens searching out and enjoying the bugs, grass and scratch I just put out for them.
Spending five or ten minutes just watching them interact and watching the individual personalities express themselves.
Happy that I've had my "chicken fix" head into get off to work and a hot coffee knowing when I come home they will all come running when I they see me drive in.
Ahhh, just love my chickens!
I think you are doing pretty good! I wish I could DWINDLE my flock down to those numbers!![]()
So...what breeds of chicks, ducks and geese did you get?![]()
