Chicken Proof & Dog Proof way to feed the cat????

Quote:
Feeding anytime outside can attract raccoons and possums. I get both in my yard daily/nightly and first thing they go for is any left-over catfood. So you would need to pick any L/O food asap.

Wimberleytexaschick has a good idea. Can you feed the cats at the front door, keeping the chickens & dogs in the backyard?Imp

I am having this same issue. I like to let the chickens out very first thing in the morning. They run right to the catfood dish tacked to a porch rail.

Alos, the cats all make an appearance in my bed each morning to hasten my wake-up.

I think I am back to feeding the cats in the basement on the shelves. I just hate the additional mess. I hate the basement too. Tis big kid domain.
