What! Dang, I'm impressed. Darling, Coyote, I'm loving this. Can I do Rooster also? Or does that make an uneven or too many participants. Not "another rooster", but "rooster". Thanks, Caroline

Gotcha!!

Well the prototype was cruisin' right along until the last step when I cut the background too close to the tail. This one will become a wall hanging. Note to self...middle of chicken is not the middle of the block.

That's cute!

I'm using this as an excuse to brush up on my embroidery stitching, the pieces are all heat & bonded, so the stitching is more decorative securing than sewing.

Thank-you. I knew better and still did it anyway. duh! I didn't want to cut the background to size until after the stitching was done, incase the stitching took up some of the width and length.

and wouldn't that make a lovely throw pillow instead?

Did you tack it down with a fusible before you stitched it? I use your basic kids Glue Stick. I just trace the parts, dab on some glue stick and slap it down. If I get it in the wrong place it's easy just to pick it up and move around. Trust me, I've got to move them around a lot!

It is cute as can be!! I'm so glad I found these patterns!! This has been so much fun already!! You ladies are the BEST!!!!

Naw...I used fusible web, I really need the little bit of stiffness that it gives for my machine to stitch well. Then I cut the background after I was finished with the stitching...just a booboo on my part. I will say the templates worked slick and I drew them onto the fusible in record time.
