That's nothing new, lol

I like the purple feet!!

I've just spent the last hour or so at the ironing board in the laundry room with the dryer going. Not awful 'cause it's a cool night, but I still experience that occasional sudden heat that comes with my most perfect age - that is, still alive. Anyway, as I assembled all these beautiful roo's, I looked up at the wall and thought of the irony. I have a wall hanging of the best part of an old tattered and totally hand appliqued quilt. Whoever made that quilt would have either shuddered at the thought of glue or jumped for joy at the work-saving wonder of it all! Good night, ladies. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Caroline

I've spent the last 2 days washing fabrics and ironing. I think I've over ironed my shoulder, lol.

I've decided that I am going to wash all my fabrics so that when I get that wild hair to create something, I don't have to wash, wait for it to dry, then iron. By then my little mind has moved on to something else, lol.

Yes this project is going to take me awhile and is going to cost me $$ for the water bill, lol. But I WILL be ready for my next wild hair.

Oh look a bunny........................................................

There's a different kind of hair in my house. From a 114 lb black lab/shep mix and an almost as big black long hair kitty plus two more. My fabric is on shelves that the kids make into beds. So ..... I wash every time I start a new project. I do like this - thanks for introducing me to chicken art! Caroline

Thankfully my 4 fuzzies don't crawl up on the shelves that i have my fabric on. I have a curtain that is suppose to cover them up, but most of the time there is a ton of other "stuff" in front of them and the curtain is open.

Only one tends to sleep back there, my Bashful kitty. She sleep on a small rug on the futon. I've got a picture of her buried up to tip of her ears in "swap" envelopes waiting to be sorted.

I built a bookshelf for the fabric it's 6ft tall by 12ft wide! Bottom shelf is books, just about all the rest is fabric. That doesn't count the plastic drawers full or more fabric or the totes of strips, sheets for backing and denim in the closet.

Let's put it like this, I have to empty the closet of fabric to get to my backpacking gear when I want to use it and do it all over again when when I want my fabric!

But hey, It's my therapy. It's better than alcohol!!

ETA---decided my room needed a re-do I'll post pics as I go!

Cindi, you are making me drool! My stash is nowhere near that much! I can't wait until hubby retires and we can settle down somewhere. A must for our house then will be a library/quilting room. When we started going through things to prep for the move here my DH was trying to get me to leave some of my fabric in storage. I just looked at him like he grew two heads! The horror!

I would love to see pics of your room!

Oh my goodness, I just got back from Walmart with fabric for my squares! I couldn't make any choices, lol.

I'm just now getting started on my squares unlike most of you. My daughter wants to help me, so we're looking forward to working on them together.

I will keep everyone posted on our progress.
