UPDATE:
Rooster is Blue Red Yokohama
Pullet is unknown

***

I purchased a hatchery surprise earlier in the year. Now I am trying to decide who to sell, keep & breed. These are two chickens I'm having problems identifying. The rooster is aggressive. Both are flighty. I'm assuming they go together because their feathers are somewhat the same color but I noticed their legs are different colors. They have rose combs. They do not have tail feathers because of other chickens have pecked them off. I now have them separated.

They are really pretty. Lots of color. It doesn't show very well but the rooster has the same color spots that the pullet does on the lower part of his body. The downy feathers around his tail look somewhat blue (grey).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe some more history on my part will be beneficial.

They both should have tail feathers. I do have a couple EE chickens and one of them pluck the others feathers quickly. Also, the EE have been laying about 2 weeks. This one hasn't started. Maybe I'm being naive or optimistic but they came from Cackle Hatchery. I'm assuming they aren't mixed. I got the Hatchery Surprise. All the other chickens I have identified. These are the ones I'm not sure about. Maybe that is part of the Surprise though...

I'm gracious for all the help I can get.

I dunno, the body shape is all wrong even for an EE mix. Are they bantams?

The almost look like some sort of Game, but with white earlobes and pea combs, they can't be pure OEG.

They look like they're a mix, but of what? And why would a hatchery sell mixed breed cickens? Maybe that's the surprise!

These are not EE chickens. No beards. Yes, the rooster is mean. But, no the pullet is not friendly. A EE rooster will not try to fly away from you. He will walk right up to you and not back away because he is not afraid you. This rooster is mean and if he gets a chance he will fly out of the pen and run. Not EE behavior. Besides I have a trio of EE from this hatchery. They are a lot bigger than these birds. All have beards. All exhibit typical behavior and for EEs. But these birds are different.

I believe they are some sort of game fowl. I am not familiar with game fowl that's why I thought someone on this site might know. I am puzzled about their leg colors. I have noticed that games have different colors of legs, eyes, combs & ear lobes.

These do have the white ear lobes. The rooster is around 6 lbs. and the hen about 4 lbs. They are this years chickens. They do not appear to be bantams. This is considered to be smaller standard chicken size, right? The research I have done on the internet shows all the features my chickens have as some sort of game fowl. However, I'm confused. Could they be American Game?

I don't think they are mixed just because every other chicken in this group meets the physical descriptions of a particular breed.

I'm not trying to be defensive and I don't refuse to hear bad news. I would just love to know what kind and color of chicken they are.

They are young chickens. I just split them up according to pairs and my "farm" egg layers. Since they were small, their tails have been gone. So I really don't know.

I'm looking into the colors of the Yokohama. Physically, they do look the same. Head shape, comb, ear lobes, body shape, leg color for the rooster. Maybe the hen doesn't go with him. I assumed with the likeness of the red color...
