This is hugely serious! I got this email and I wished I had room for more hens... but I only have silkies and they take up every inch of coop space we have right now.
I am going to copy and paste the email and rescue groups contact information below. I do not have any additional information other then what is in the pasted info below. Also, I have no other way to contact this group other then the posted email below, which the prefer you use to contact them!
This rescue specializes in waterfowl, so this is out of the ordinary for them to ask for help with cows and chickens!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for this email, I know its slightly off topic.
We were contacted by another group who is caring for 16,000 (yes 16
thousand!) brown egg laying hens. They are all less than 2 years old
and were originally destined to an organic egg laying farm (who
closed? not sure all the details). We have had good responses to our
emails about chickens before so we offered to distribute one in search
of homes for these hens. If you are interested in the hens please
email me exactly the number you want, your name, address, email and
phone number. You will be put on a list to be contacted when the hens
arrive. They will all be dropped at the rescue and you will be
responsible for picking them up in 24-48 hours. All hens are
registered through NPIP and have health certificates and were given
vet exams.
As if the email wasn't off topic enough! I was also contacted by
someone whose cow passed away giving birth to 4 calves. They do not
have the ability to bottle feed the 4 calves and are looking for
someone to take them. If you are able to volunteer to bottle feed the
cows please let me know you can take calved home initially since they
are fairy small. Also needing someone to adopt cows when they are
older but preferably someone can take cows now from start to finish.
Preferably we can find someone who will feed the calves and be able to
keep them. I don't know much about cows but i will get more details if
someone can help out.
As always we have lots of ducks and geese needing homes. So please
contact me as well if your looking for ducks or geese. Emails is
[email protected]

Good luck and hope you guys can take some of these hens!
