I use chicken wire yes. Have I ever had predator attacks yes. Wire has never been broken through.

Had a Skunk tunnel into the coop from the ground. Killed my New Hampshire pullet.

An unidentified Raptor killed a Guinea.

5 pullets were killed by a weasel, & one rooster had some skin bitten of his face.

How'd the weasel get in? I always read that weasels were one the top reasons to avoid chicken wire.

Possibly through the gaps, or the hole in the corner where wire was failed to connect.

Fence climbing is another possibility.

I was surprised that Vaseline has the opposite affect its praised for in chicken forums, and can actually make frostbite worse.
