here is what i did. since this was taken i've installed windows with lexan and hardware cloth behind. 24" of hardwarde cloth all around the perimeter of the run and several other upgrades. the residents are very happy...i've not had one complaint.

percysmom, even a corner of the shed your 2 chickens are next too would be better shelter then what they have. You should set them up with something more then what they are currently in, they are full grown hens just about, and you will get more eggs
 
Our outside run is 20x20 split down the middle so the big girls are on one side and the little girls are on the other. We did the same with the inside coop. Both are 8x10!

So glad we made them tall enough so we can walk in both the run and coop. Much easier to clean, feed and play with the ladies.
 
My runs are made from 10x10 chainlink dog kennels. I put woven wire fencing on top (predator barrier) and one has a pitched roof w/ tarp over it as well (rain barrier). Both have hardware cloth or woven wire digging barriers and hardware cloth aprons on the lower 2 feet of the walls. The 2 pens are connected by a wall w/ a door in it.
