Okay I finished it!! It only took me three hours.

Here are the pictures (I actually decided to try sewing the edges, I tried. )

I put it on her today. She looked apprehensive at first but I think she is now getting used to it.

I just got on to post and saw your thread lol.
I tried making a quick saddle this morning and my first attempt needed a modification, but I came up with another idea lol and it was too simple. I grabbes some old baby onsies and cut off the sleeves and bottoms then cut a V on the front to make more room for their legs. They were no sew, they slipped right on and only took about 1minute a piece to make lol. Bonus if you have them on hand like I did bit they are about $2 each if you buy them new and cheaper used.
