She should be ok just watch her closely , from what I have heard some chickens seem to go by days ok chicken eggs hatch in 21 days and wont set for many days after but from what I read most broodies will sit till they have a baby [IMG]

The hen will do fine. I often have them hatch 2 batches of call duck eggs and then have to break them from setting.

If I was a momma chicken and I sat on my babies for 21 days and they popped out ducklings I would freak out [IMG]

I currently have a duck sitting on a mix of chicken and duck eggs. Oh well.

I hope it works, I put 7 Swedish duck eggs under my broody Cochin and she has been being a faithful mommy so far. I forgot to write down the day I put them under her, so I am not sure when their hatch date is, duh! I am really curious to see if they hatch.
