When I was a kid we let our hen hatch our duck eggs for us. When the little ones were a week or so old we'd get out a tub of water and let the little ones swim. Mom would go crazy until we took them out but the little ducklings loved it.

the hen pecked open an egg and the baby was all bloody...i moved him into the babtor to hatch...now he is breathing hard and laying on his side...looks like the mom pecked away at the babies yoke sac while he was in the egg...
