Chicken sounds like it has allergies!

Can I get any of this over the counter? I really cannot afford to take another chicken to the vet. Im reading it is a chicken only disease but just to be safe please tell me my ducks wont get this...

I took them to the vet anyway. Dinner was really worrying me and my husband. My chickens really are more like pets to me so culling is a very last resort. The vet ($220 later) told me that Dinner and her Roo Snack both had a pnuemonia, gave them a megashot antibiotic and gave me terramycin for there eyes and tetracycline liquid to give twice a day for three weeks. After day two Dinner stopped the gurgling and was breathing back through her nostrils. I see some slight discharge on my silkies who are separated from the flock and my silver leghorn, Bacon seems to have a slight swelling in her sinus now. so Im thinking while Im hand medicating the two, Ill go and get duramycine and med the other two flocks as a precaution. Though the one thing I worry about is how to med my free ranging chickens when they insist on drinking only from the duck ponds... May have to figure out how to move the ducks from the chicken coop area... *sigh* I guess there comes a time in every chicken lovers life that you have to have something go wrong
