Chicken staggering and falling down

Glad to hear your chicken is doing better.
It's possible it could have been dehydration due to heat.

If you see the same symptoms tomorrow, you may want to separate, place on some paper towels or a puppy pad, so you can get some good, clear photos of the poop, just in case.

I would follow the recommendations in the post by @Eggcessive - some poultry vitamins for a few days and extra protein may be in order.

FWIW - I'm not a sexing expert, but I think that Myrtle may actually be a B.O.Y. That comb and those wattles at 14.5wks...:D

Well, I have spent a lot of time wondering about the sex of several of my chickens, all of whom were supposed to be pullets. But I hadn't yet become suspicious of Myrtle because the other white leghorn has similar comb/wattles, just slightly smaller and slightly less red. I guess we will just have to wait and see how things actually turn out in the Rooster Roulette. I don't really want roosters, but I may end up with one or two by accident.

Is it hot where you live? My buff Orpington couldn't stand one time because of the heat. I put her in a puddle of water let her take it easy and stay still and luckily she got better.

It was warm today, but not terribly hot. 85 degrees. The other ladies, the younger chicks, and guinea fowl were all fine. And the waterer was full of fresh water and they can get into good shade. I don't think the conditions should have led to heat-related illness or injury, unless she is weak and vulnerable to heat stress/dehydration for some other reason.

LOL Do you have some individual photos of Myrtle and the other one standing up?

The 2 Australorps (1hard to see) look like girls. One of the red ones maybe a boy, but the other looks like a girl. BUT...again, I'm not very good at sexing. I'm just going by what my leghorn pullet looks like at 13wks. - small comb, wattles and pale. ;)

The first photo is Myrtle this morning, seeming... maybe better-ish? Still unsteady, but up and moving. Still falling down, but eating and stuff. The second photo is a close-up of our other leghorn, Maude. She's got some pretty major comb and wattle action going on too.

Glad to hear SHE(?) is improving:p

LOL Now I might change my mind (a girl has a right to change her mind)....Myrtle may be Myrtle:lol: Let's hope:fl

Anyways...keep her hydrated. I wander if she was suffering from heat?
