Chicken standing in the corner of the coop head tucked?

Boil her a little quinoa (KEEN-wa)  and then feed the rest to your family. ;)

It's the only complete source of plant-protein. Kind of an earthy, wild-rice flavor.

1 cup of quinoa
1 cup water
Bring to a boil, drop to a simmer, and cook for 18-20 mins, stirring occasionally with a fork. You should see the little "tails" spring up and the whole bunch will fluff. You'll know it when it happens. :)

I love it with butter (but leave that off for your girl)!

See if she'll have some of that. If not, you and yours will be eating high on the hog tonight!

I will definitely try that!! Can I buy that at a local grocery store? (Jewel)?

Update: She still seems to be doing the same. She lost her appetite as of yesterday, but will nibble a little bite or two of treats and then gives up. I'm trying that quinoa rice tonight. It is an excellent source of iron so I'm hoping that perks her up. She has electrolytes in the water and a heat lamp that she really seems to LOVE!!! She has been sleeping on the floor in a corner the last few days so I took a milk crate with some hay and put it under a heat lamp. I set her in it and she hasn't moved! She really likes the warmth! And Im glad I got her off the floor! Any other options on things I can feed her with a good source of iron is much appreciated! I put a bowl of cabbage, broccoli, and baby spinach and she had no interest at all.

It sounds like time for tube feeding. She needs to be hydrated before you tube her any food.

Dehydration will cause extreme lethargy. She may not have much time left.
I do see her drinking occasionly. Just not eating much. What do you suggest to tube feed her? Should I give her water through a syringe, and X amount of minutes/hours later syringe feed her with ??

Another update: I went to tube her some food when I realized she has a VERY full crop. She drank and ate lots of water and food while I was there! So her appetite is now back! However, and i just now noticed she has a very swollen Abdomen. What are the reasons for this?

Fluid in the abdomen is the most likely cause. Usually cysts or internal laying (egg yolk peritonitis). I believe fatty liver disease will have a similar symptom.

You can drain her with a syringe and a needle. You'll have to do a search at the top of the forum... I'm hamstrung on my phone. :/

I would consider sanitizing *every inch of your coop, feeders, and waterers* with something like Oxine.

She could have sour crop or an impact crop. Many things can cause this. I give fluconazole for sour crop now. I have tried other ways and this goes into there system. She still need to be tube feed.. Deworm her five days in a row and again in 10 days.

Edited to add:

Have you examed her for egg bound. I would think at this point she would dead, however, just rule it out, when examining her, see if you feel any lumps bumps in her.
