Chicken steals food from other hen

BOSS is another treat they love, but like Lazy Gardner said before...Don't forget the GRIT!
Mine also love when they get a special treat of spaghetti noodles...They gobble 'em right up! They will definitely follow you...sometimes getting under foot while you're trying to get chores done or whatever but I always love to look behind me to see the group in tow

If you want something to feed them from hand, try bits of cheese. One warning though, watch how you hold it they will take fingers and all when trying to get cheese.

As was mentioned above chickens are trainable to verbal commands. Everytime I'm going to let mine out of the run I yell "playtime" and now when I yell that they all run to the door of the run to be let out. I keep their scratch in a plastic jar, simply shaking the jar or yelling "SCRATCH" gets them to come running for some. It's so funny if I go outside and don't see the girls and yell "SCRATCH" and watch them all come running from around the side of the house. It's how I get them back in their run just yell scratch then walk in the run with them following and throw down a small handful. It's also useful to some extent as a way to keep them out of a garden or stop them from wondering too far, just yell scratch and give them some away from whatever you want to get them away from. Of course as soon as the scratch is gone they'll head back there but it does help.

Haha how amazing they're so smart!!!! I sure hope I can get mine to that point where yours are at!!!! I am certainly going to try to do my very best!!!! Thank you very much!!!!

My two batches of chicks are 4 1/2 wks old and 2 1/2 wks old...and when I drop mealworms, sprouts, etc. in the brooder one will get it and run around with it in its mouth...playing keep-away. Fun to watch.
