Chicken Swallowed popcorn foam for packaging

It's much easier when my lab does this. Well one of my chickens ate popcorn foam like it was candy today. It fell off a rack in my barn. I will monitor her. So how do I handle this one?

She'll be fine. My dumb chicken tries to eat foam. Dug a foam cup out of the garbage one time and ran a million miles a minute from me to get to safety so she could chomp it. She managed to eat half of it before I got it away. She lived.

Shouldn't be a problem. They seem to love it, and I've yet to have one get sick from it. Obviously it isn't optimal, but don't fret over it.

Well, it's basically like a big meal of absolutely nothing, so it won't get any nutrients from today's meal. Watch to make sure it's pooping regularly, and let it eat actual FOOD whenever it wants, to help push the unwanted junk out the other end.

I had some hens do the same thing, when a board covering some styrofoam insulation fell down, and they had a blast digging that junk down and eating it - it's like it tastes good or somthing! But I had no losses from it, as much as I was freaking out and worried that I would. My only concern for yours would be if one of them tore off a chunk so big that it could plug up the pipes, so to speak.

It's one of the best things about this place, that's for sure. Once in awhile, you may find a quiet time on here where no one happens to be around, but not very often. I've even wandered on here late at night/early morning so that others even thought I was in Europe due to the time differential, LOL!

And yet you get someone earlier today, who was posting about a turkey poult in distress, and no one was apparently around to help, and now the person has decided the entire site is a waste of time. *shrug* You can't please all the people all the time...

I saw that, this site is so incredibly helpful. Ive gotten a lot of helpful facts from here before I joined.
