I will advertise this at our event, also I'll give note of what you want, what Hoppy has and see what we can do for the two of you.
Can I use your email address' for the contact sheets?

I'd like to offer some of these with the NH folks, well Chickn, she is a sweetheart and it is a positive thing to include. When we speak about laws and legal issues, its for recognition, working within those boundries, yet there are loop holes to work through when it comes to shows and such. State the laws and then its your responsibility to follow or ignore such guidelines.

BTW- some of that information that is from Bill is extremely interesting. Not only that, quite a bit was written by Mark Opitz, he was the head of the state diagnostic lab a few years back. Super nice guy- obviously intellegent, but the papers he wrote are in laymans terms for everyone to understand.

thanks. spook.

We will be at this one for sure. Works out great cause that week end her events are in the same area. Poultry show at Windsor Fair

Hope to see a lot of you guys there.....

Poultry show? as in Common Grounds Fair...?
I can't keep up with stuff....speaking of which, I can't wait to show off my newest accomplishment! I must do some touch ups, but you know that fiber board that has fake bricks? Well, Mom and I had always wanted to do something with them, off preferably, but the expense of putting up something new and cheap. So today, I picked up 3 colors of bricks, and I've started to sponge them in layers of color!
I just need to be busy right now, and through the winter too. I plan (not DH...he will only be aware due to the phone pic I sent him! LOL) and strip the wall paper and I'd like to find a color that is a very very pale blue, paint the walls and put up a nice boarder. I'm just not sure of the molding...I opt for Forrest green, but if the blue shows, then it would look like a crayola box... what'ch locals think?
I'm making sure no paint on chair, ladder, etc, that foot is feeling better, but I twisted the dang thing again chasing none other then a chicken!

should not post when I have a headache and half asleep. The 22nd is a Tuesday even... good I have the right date written down, I would be lost without my datebook....

I actually got a very nice phone call from someone at this tractor supply asking me to bring my birds, if I had any to sell, to this swap. that was nice of them to call. I have a card posted in the store for wyandottes and guineas. (anyone need any guinea hatching eggs?)

I'm not sure I'll make this chickenstock, but would make a special effort to get there if anyone is interested in Welsumer cockerels. They will be 10 weeks old when this event rolls around.

I hatched 9 this spring hoping to keep a few to breed, but ended up with 8 boys and 1 girl -- not the ratio I had hoped for!

They're free to anyone who wants to pick them up (I live in Standish), but I'd like a couple bucks a piece for them if I drive them to Augusta.

PM if you're interested, I might not be paying real close attention to this thread especially as the event nears and the traffic increases.

Tim

I'd value your opinions as to what appeals and draws a good crowd to a chicken swap - this is new territory for us! We'll see what the turn out is for this one and then perhaps do one in the fall if theres enough interest.
One person suggested doing a poultry show with a judge - what do you folks think?
Thanks!
