Picked the Ducks up at Union and took them to Windsor tonight so won't have to worry about them tomorrow. Union closed down today early, all shows canceled, the barns were starting to flood when we got there at 12:30.

Sarah is going to bring a couple of baby rabbits, she got them to show for 4-H but she has decided on a different breed and to go purebred, she bought them as lion heads, but can't say for sure they are pure.

She will also have Bobby (spoiled brat) and Honey for her work shop. She may even bring a couple of others for display, like a call duck or a silkie, depending on what the weather does.

She also has young (4-6 months old) Pairs of the following to sell.
Mille Fleur D'Anvers $15.00
Self Blue D'Anvers $15.00
White Indian Runners $25.00
Red Pyle Modern Game $20.00

Can bring a few of these if there is interest.

Her 4-H club will also be there selling baked goods and crafts items.

I don't know if it was just the timing of when I went, but it seemed to be mostly rabbits. We told my dad we would would be strong and try to not buy anything, but I was secretly hoping for a couple more chicks.

OMG, I had a ball. Of course I was guest, not organizer and such an amazing time meeting everyone from BYC and meeting all the new folks that will be coming online here from just talking!

This time of year is tough, thinning out the old, roosters and problem birds. The couple that took Stan, Flojo and Hank, God bless them! The Mrs stays at home, loves to make of her birds and loved Stan. That did my heart good knowing that they would be taken care of. (even if they do something else, fine, I don't want to know)

I missed Trueblue, I wanted the NH Reds, but no correspondence. Ah well, it'll save me grain and I'll be able to give more time to those I have! (can you say Turkeys!!!!!! eeeeek)

And Sarah, PRF, God Bless that girl, she is a gem! She showed us how to trim beaks, nails and what to do if they have an injury. She trimmed my Rosebuds beak and nails, I couldn't believe she sat still through that! Sarah, you have a gift with birds, keep it up and we'll nick name you the chicken queen! That is a big honor!
This week I plan on going up to the hen house and trying what you taught.

Leslie, you are a sweetheart, hard worker and even tho folks claimed no place to get in the shade, we parked the front of the SUV towards the sun, set up the birds, Scooters kids, and the paperwork, had a nice shadey area.

Ok, enough of my take on it, hope we do this again, it was really a nice time! Great Job everyone!
