Chicken Swap & Farm Fest, Sunday, August 30, 12-4, TSC Augusta, Maine

I'm probably not going to be able to make this (I'm on the post party clean up crew-hubby's big 4 0 bash!)
anyway, reassessing the flock, I have decided to sell a few older birds:
2 welsummer hens, lay almost daily,
1 blue laced red hen wyandotte paired with my blue laced red wyandotte rooster, both are splash. she was shown at the basket show and I got a lot of favorable comments on her although she could not win due to a non comforming color). I have kept back several of their chicks for next yrs. flock.

At least 4 cochin bantams chicks (bought eggs from frizzle parents ), none are frizzles. most are black, 1 is barred. sell as a 4 pack only.

1 splash blue laced red cockeral wyandotte
1 red/black cockeral wyandotte
1 weldottie red columbian pattern cockeral
I'll take offers on the 3 cockerals- they will be available until sept 10th

pm me if interested, I travel to augusta/waterville on a regular basis so could meet you there or pu on the farm.

Now here I show my dumb side (like You all haven't seen it before) but Cochins come in Bantam, Standard, giant, right?
A friend of mine is looking for 2 standard or giant Cochins, they do not have to be perfect, just the personality and soft feathers.

Eventually I'd love to have a couple standard, I just love the sweetness. I've been teaching one of mine to come to me, then I scoop her up, she isn't wild, but she would rather have her feet on the ground.

Hoppy, we will miss you if you cannot come to the Augusta event.
Bob is even looking forward to this event, he is so great. Not often you can find a guy that is just supportive in everything I choose to do. Its nice.

Well, another basket weaving class, if you have time and a class locally, go do one, even if its for your own house and Christmas gifts. I began a new basket and it is challenging, but its cool with the handle in the middle. Not sure what I'm going to do with this...hmmm.

Hey all, have a wonderful day, enjoy the sunshine!!!

I was contemplating having another event in Oxford in October, but with all the fairs and not doing well at this last one, I'm going to wait until spring, mid-May.
I'm excited about coming to the Augusta one, I bet it will do great! I believe that area will do super!

We are on the count down!!!

it's not the party but the clean up and the overnite guests I'd have to blow off. I may (and that's a big may) be able to sneak out but I can't promise.

I know a person that has too many ducklings. I told her about the swap and she may be going. if anyone is interested, pm me I will give you contact info- she's near me 35 mins to augusta.

Did'ja wanna see...These are a few of the baskets I've made,
