Um, yeah I did the same thing! Looked around, thinking, "oh dear! nobody showed!" Then realized my error.
I was hoping to scoresome grown or nearly grown hens. I'm LOVIN' my chicks (3 wks old now) but when i ran out of eggs the other morning, I realized I don't want to wait three more months for eggs-from-home. it's a drag to have to drive 40 minutes just cuz you run out of eggs.
Any body in range of Temple NH got any? I'd drive 90 minutes for 4 or so.
I got some silkies and silky-Xs from ChickMagnet, and they are the greatest. And the little blue is still a micro-midget-tiny-tot. Way smaller than the partridge silky. They are solemn, stoic, passive, nuzzley, cuddley. Odd and wonderful. The bantam cochin(?) is kinda goofy and gangly. Like the head is too big for the body. Runs like a goose.

so glad to hear the chicks are doing well. the blue mom is tiny so the apple did not fall far from the tree. gypsie that is so sweet that you offer your eggs. wish I lived closer so I could pop over for a visit once in a while.
Spotsplus, I'm glad you took the little dwarf doe! We were afraid no one would want her even though she is 99% better at this point! Did anyone else on here take one of the bunnies? I had the Dwarfs, Mini Lops, and Fuzzy Lops (I know where the opal Fuzzy went and the chocolate Fuzzy came home). I know we went home with just the chocolate Fuzzy doe. Just not sure if it was BYC members that got most of the little ones. My friend that I had brought them for was thrilled to only get one back even though very little money was involved, lol. Thank you to everyone who gave them their new homes!
chickenlady81, I take it you never picked up the Wyandotte pullet? I had left it with Gypsy since you said you were coming late and I had to leave at 11am. Are you going to be at Merrimack? Do you still want her? Please let me know. Thanks!
We had a good time at the swap. It was not as fun for me this time since I barely got to look around. At the April swap someone was selling jams in different sized jars. Does anyone know who that was? I didn't see them at the May swap and I was really hoping to get more black raspberry jam! It seems like less buyers came through this swap too. Was it just me or was it really kind of slow? I'm wondering if the chicken market in Milford is a bit saturated right now? Anyways, it was nice meeting new BYC members and connecting with ones we have met at other swaps. I can't wait until the fall swaps when I will no longer be wearing this blasted cast!!!! Hope to see you all at Merrimack!

It was a b it slower than normal but keep in mind it was a holiday weekend. and that does put a crimp in sales.
I know ducks right now are a fly out of the brooder critter. I am amazed at how fast they leave at a swap.
I know if I had 100 they would have been gone in a heart beat, as it was 7 flew with new owners with in a few hours of being there.
I dont think I have ever seen ducks sell as quick as they have this spring, I cant hatch enough out to satisfy the demand.
Janet.
I wish you lived close also. coffee and a good chat is always welcome here.
sometimes being in the middle is too far away, I wish I lived closer to everyone.
I know me for one have made some wonderfull new friends through these swaps. and believe it or not I am NOT a people person. These swaps has relieved some of my thinking about people.
Not long ago I wouldnt see me out in a crowd of people with out heavy medication, now I can do it with outdrugging myself to the point of comatose. these swaps have done wonders for my anti social disposition.
I do have to say Thank You all for being the wonderfull people you are.
