Tell me about it. The sun thing.
I have a Holland Lop, the big one. And when i got him, i was told he was a girl.
Well i was holding him out side, and i was rubbing his belly that i thought at the time was a female.

I freaked out. I saw the most swollen things

I thought it had a tumor, then i posted on here about it, and found out LOL it was a boy and the heat made him swollen,

That's when i found out and learned more that rabbits can not be in direct sun or too hot of temps.

Holland's aren't big, Shay. They are the smallest of the lop family... mini lops are actually bigger than hollands. I know it doesn't make sense, I didn't name the breed!

I was told he was, Oh well, do you know what he is, I was told that he is a show rabbit.

No worries on the rain...I'll still come. I'll bring just a few crates of soap...and my 6 chicks for Poyo's Mama and I'll have 3 RIR and 2 BR chicks.

TSC doesn't flood with that creek behind it does it??

I got a sweet little Netherland dwarf doe at one of the swaps about a month ago. I keep her in the house at night but she goes out during the day and does just fine. I had her in with my chicks and she did great too.

Hard to tell from the picture, how much does he weigh? He looks small in the pic.

Hahaha he is a big rabbit. He ways a good amount i don't know exactly but just guessing about 5 or 6 pounds. Or even more. I am guessing by thinking of my roosters , he is heavier than them.

Summer? What's that???

We have plenty of shaded areas. How are Lops with kids (6 and 3)? Are there any breeds that are better with kids? They're used to handling baby chicks so they know how to treat small animals.

Though personally I still want a silver fox for me.

I have silver fox too..... but he's new to my "fleet". I personaly like the larger rabbits for myself but they are WAY too much for little kids to handle. They have so much more kicking strength and weigh a lot more. My hollands are not nippy and loveeeeee to be held. I have a 15 and 12 yo sons that handle them often. They are just too cute with the little beady eyes looking at you, it's hard to resist. These little ones have been touched since day one so they expect it from us. I welcome you to stop by and check out the little buck with your kiddos Cindy and go from there.
