i have an 18 week old black cochin boy i was bringing to Ron. but i will let you take a look before i let it go to him. dad is a mixed color (birchen or brassy back) boy and mom is black. i'm interested in a couple of those 8 week old d'uccles if you have 2 pullets you could part with, not picky on colors. i don't need any more roos at the moment.

btw, i will be running late tomorrow morning. i hope to be there for 10.

Well today was a flop for me, I think that all the vendors were buying form each other, people must have left early for their 4th of July vacations! Not sure how the rest of you did, I think today was the biggest vendor turnout we had in Chichester so fay. I sold one chick and picked up some poults and a nice roo for friends. Also got myself a cute bunny that I could not resist. The ride home was a hot one and the birds seemd a bit stressed when we got home so they are inside in clean cages where it is nice and cool, but not cold. Dont think I can do another hot day swap so far from home with the set up we have for driving them there, or will have to take my big suv and that is defeting the purpose cause the gas would kill me! LOL Hope everyone else did better than I did for selling!

Well we sold a total of 3 pullets today and I was very good even though April was right next to me with some sweet birds that would look real good in my coop.

The good news is I didn't come home with any new ones even though Greg tried to talk me into yet another rooster. He is a very pretty EE but has a set of lungs that I don't want to hear at 4:30 along with the other 10 I already have.
Here are some of todays highlights. These were taken early this morning. I guess I should have waited until it got busy but if it was busy, I wouldn't have time to take them.

Well, I think this was a bust for most everyone. I also came home with only 4 less than I went with. Cheryl reallt did behave herself

Is this typical? Do the swaps slow right down this time of year?

Hi. Well it was a beautiful day!

(Save for that one last gust of wind that took down a few of our canopies not to mention some birds) Thank you to all who rescued our canopy/birds!

We sold 15 pullets and considering it was a "race" weekend in/at Loudon and Biker's Blessing or something day, I would call it good. However, we were not as strong willed as Cheryl, we came home with a very pretty banty Cochin hen, a handsome button quail for our lonely little ladies, some yummy looking homemade jam, a few tomato plants and of course some hatching eggs (thank you Janet). Hope to see a few of you diehard swappers in Littleton tomorrow.
