man this was a long day!!!! got up at 4am to get ready for the swap. setteled the birds back into the coop and made a mad dash for windham to the hairdresser. two accidents and two roads closed. arrived 1 hour late so only got a little done. made a mad dash to portsmouth to go to a jack and jill. made it with 10 minutes to spare. slept all the way home so I could recharge my batteries enough to put the birds to bed. everyone is all tucked in for the night. sigh....deep breath....
anyway,
as always it was great to see everyone. I came home with 2 new cochins and 2 new cages. thanks guys. how about those beautiful plants. wow.
I had a little cross beak with me that I found an angel of mercy who took it home. thankyou for giving it hope of having a life. I wish you the best of luck and I hope it grows strong, has a sweet personality, is a girl, and gives you lots of beautiful blue eggs.
there was a bunch of us there today. the food truck with the tables and chairs set up was a fantastic addition. we need to increase foot traffic a bit though. If anyone can think of ways to advertise that would help. I hand write signs alot and put them on bulliten boards where ever I am. all it needs to say is chicken swap, date and place. simple is fine. if each one of us can bring in just 1 or 2 people because we put up signs just think of the increase in sales everyone would have. have any of you ever asked a customer how they knew there was a swap? I do. how else are we to know what works. if you look around, you would be surprised how many gas stations and corner stores have bulletin boards. lets all pitch in and work together for the common good. anyone know anybody with an ice cream truck? that would get my vote.
