I pulled 3 eggs out (the week before they hatched infertile/undeveloped) and she cracked one 2 weeks before that ... but i think that's a pretty good hatch rate for my first timers

Here they are ... they'll get to try out free ranging later in the week

thanks so much for posting the photos. always nice to see the grandchildren. looks like you have a great mix. the black and white one looks like a bantam mottled cochin. you have bantams and large fowl. I see an easter egger. the nn is adorable. very.very cute

very welcome - i always thought that grandparents should at least see their grand children - you can show the pictures to the parents if you want but the adoptive mother thinks it'd be best for the chicks to not tell them until their older that they were adopted eggs

(hehehe)

I couldn't remember what you said I had in the mix
smile.png
(lol mind just zero'd in on little fluffy butts

)... I actually had 2 "EE" eggs, one was a darker blue/green than the other - but i forget what the 3rd larger egg was. the first one that "popped" was the chocolatey/black chick

... and i saw the nn chick and i was like "what was that" (i've never had a nn before) but it's definitely adorable ! !

thank you !

MILFORD TSC HATCHING EGG SPECIAL

I did alot of rearranging in my bantam frizzle pens this week. That means I can't tell if the old roo or the new roo fertilized my hatching eggs. Therefore, I am running a special.
PM me if you would like eggs held. They need to be picked up by 9:30 am or they will be put out for sale.

The roos involved are
1- frosty my sizzle
2-frizzled barred nn
these boys are with smooth girls

3-white showgirl
4-black tailed white japanese
these boys are with frizzled girls

The eggs will be labeled with the name of the roo in the pen where I got the egg. The boxes will be an assortment of all roos above.

$6.00 for a dozen
$10.00 for two dozen

I have 2 special silkies for milford. the mom is a show quality hattrick silkie.

I could be wrong, but I rate these chicks breeder quality. Therefore they will be going at pet quality prices. This is a great opportunity to get hattrick bloodlines into your flock without the big price tag. if anyone in the next generation looks like mom, you just hit a home run.

I am growing out the rest of the hatch for myself. from time to time you may see one up for grabs.

Hi All

I am hoping to get to at least one of the swaps at Tilton, Chichester, and Littleton. If all goes as planned i will be bringing 5 pullets, and 20 bantam chicks(assorted), also likely to be bringing some ducks to sell for my daughter. I have a red bantam cochin cock(he looks more like buff to me) that is pushing his limits with me, so if anyone would be interested in him let me know and i will try and bring him also!!

I would like to buy either a few eggs or chicks of SLW, GLW, silkies, or d'uccles. Besides some girls for layers i am working on putting breeding pens together......i was thinking of trying for mostly cochin but i am torn between bantam and standard, not to mention different colors! I have pairs of quite a few but i am ending up with too many roo's and not enough hens!! Then my DD has also bought me pairs of GLW and SLW from one of you i expect!
barnie.gif
LOL They are adorable! Both pairs are very friendly especially the hens, i am very attached! I am also in love with the d'uccles, i have a mille fleur cock and a lemon/citrine mille fleur hen. I also have one silkie who is a sweetie, could definitely handle raising more of her!
love.gif
Then we have my first hatch....2 frizzles, a blue and a ? black LF cochin! Have splash and columbian cochin bantams in bator now

Is this what they mean by chicken math???? I gotta build more pens!!
