So sorry to hear of this. Definitely call F&G and at this point who cares if they need to disperse of that bear. He appears to be a problem bear and was probably relocated from another area only to find his way to your place.
Got my chick order today, good thing I called the PO cause the poor things were sitiing there all day. Was told that it must have been a miscomunication between him and his boss because she told him she would call the number on the box and he thought she did and no one did. Good thing I called them! She had them locked in her office...wonder why? Anyhoo....how the heck am I supposed to tell one breed from the next? I know they shorted me on 2 breed and filled in on the missing breeds with other breeds I dont want or need. Now I have to figure out by (hopefully) process of elimination, what is what. I have feather footed breeds, but not sure if cochins or d'uccles? EE's seem to be the chipmunk colors, but then there are 2 pure white with green legs and maybe they are two?? Got shorted 3 dark cornish bantams, and I am not sure which way os up at this point! ARGHHHHH!

Have you checked out FeatherSite? They have lots of pics of each breed, including chicks. If you get stuck, post a pic and we can help ID for ya.
Forgot to mention that the pure whites with green legs should be EE. Puffy cheeks, right?
Yup there are bear paw marks on the side of the trailer, and claw marks. The wondow was busted in and the second door(pivot close) was opened. Cages were tested, but only the easy birds were taken(20+). My roo's are stressed as heck, but everyone is ok for the most part. Since this has been esclating for the past week we have orders from F&G to shoot the bear if it comes back. This is the 5th time. Thanks for the support, it means alot. We'll keep you guys posted as to what happens, but for tonight, we're doing an all nighter to watch out for the bear.
