They are a very pretty brown wild look. Almost like partridge. I love them to death.

I wish I had gotten more of them. They are standard size too, not bantams. I can't wait until they start laying to make more standard frizzles.
I do have a pair ( I think ) of black bantam ones too. I got those from Gooches. They were supposed to be pullets but one is taking a long time for its feathers to come in.

I tried to put my two EE girls in with the roo I got from Henpen and they let him know that they were the boss. They drew blood so I took them out of the pen. I also put the BLRW roo with the GLW and they didn't do well either. I guess I have a bunch of snobby hens. Maybe the roos aren't old enough yet. I will try agian in a week or so. My little barred rockx leghorn is still sitting on the nest but I had to move her to her own crate. I was wondering why the other girls weren't laying since I blocked off her nest but they were somehow getting in and laying thier eggs and then got out. When I fed them this morning she went running out to poo and I counted 14 eggs under her. She didn't mind the move but when I checked on her tonight she wasn''t quite covering them all so I went to push them under her and she almost took my hand off

I have a lavender sizzle chick.

.
this has motivated me to set up a lavender pen. it will produce smooth cochins, frizzled cochins, smooth and frizzled sizzles.
50% chance cochins will be lavender and 75% chance sizzles will be lavender . the only thing that might delay this setup is that I keep finding both girls on eggs. I currently have 13 broody hens,2 broody ducks, additional 2 hens and 1 duck thinking about it.

I need to go to bed before greg figures out I am still up late 2 nights in a row. my alarm is set for 5:30.

If anyone wants to help with advertising that would be great. anyplace on the internet is good. we have nothing on facebook. flyers at your corner grocery store or feed store would work. something simple if fine. store name, address, date and hours of swap. the more we get the word out the better. many hands working together.

oh boy, I will be in trouble again.
I guess you wont have to worry about incubator watching..........lol
I just hope the one broody I have doesn't change her mind cause I have no room in the incubator till after this weekend I think.

If anyone is going to be at a swap with some LF Cochin eggs (colors preferred: buff, white, columbian, mottled)...

Just looking to appease my other broody (don't want her sitting inside all day all summer x( ) ... so not looking for many <6

Buttttt I might settle for others so if people have hatching eggs please let me know

I will start a Facebook Page for the swaps, that way people can have a place to see dates and everyone can send pics to post, maybe pics of what they will be bringing would be good too.
