I am new here. I have some older birds I thought I would give away at a swap. (FYI Can't eat our ladies.) What is NIP testing? and would I need it to give away (4) 3 year olds?
I'm new to the forum and this whole chicken thing. My coop is almost complete and I am looking for some full feathered out young pullets that can go right out into the coop.
I am curious to know what I may see at the Candia swap this weekend. I attend last months and would have loved to have gotten some girls then but the coop wasn't ready.
I'm so excited to finally be fulfilling something I have dreamed about for several years. It took quite a while to break down the resistant husband. Now he's looking at Chicken books too. I hope we enjoy it as much as I dreamt we would. Hoping to find some pullets that would meet my needs on Sunday!
We will be at the Merrimack & Candia swaps this weekend with Golden Comet and Amberlink pullets 4-5 weeks old. They aren't outside yet but they do not need a light in the house. They haven't had one for about two weeks or so.
We will also have straight run (boys & girls) White and Partridge Silkies (Pet Quality) Ameraucana (EE) bantys,Standard and Banty Cochin & Frizzles, Polish, NN's and a variety of mixed in both standard and banty.
See you there!!!
Thank you for sharing the info regarding the upcoming Chicken Swaps....wish a couple were a little closer...and the ones in Tilton in Chichester were different dates.....oh well! Have a great time!
