Nope, I am behaving myself for now. Atleast until I know the lavs are fertile.

Thanks for the welcome! I work at DHMC, in pathology. I agree that working on holidays is a bummer, but it's only to be expected when you work at a hospital. And they have it set up pretty well, we have a holiday rotation where we know which holidays we have to work each year, for years in advance. For instance, my winter holiday on shift this year was Thanksgiving, next year it'll be Christmas, and the following year it'll be New Year's. So I can at least make plans in advance, if I have a family gathering or other holiday event.

What sort of route do you drive? Long distances? I'm not sure I could ever do that for a living, too much being away from home!

I was thinking the same thing. My last hatch was Oct. 7th with the Millies. I would love to find someone with some Mottled cochin bantam eggs.

oh...hospital was one of my guesses. I have a good friend that is an or nurse. she has to work holidays too. thank goodness there are people like you willing to take care of the rest of us.

I drive a daily route that goes to nh and maine. no over nights. I drive 150 to 300 miles a day. on a busy day I can be out for 12 hours. this time of year snow often adds alot of time to my day.

I wasn't planning on hatching anymore but we had a slight mishap with the brooder box and the crappy latch that WAS on the door.....There is now a good latch on the door and I almost have all the blood stains cleaned up off the concrete in the basement.....bad dog
