Yes, she's the lovely person I got them from. I need to go take pictures of my guys for her - I won't be using them purebred either, at least not this year, but they're going to have some fun :).

I honestly love them darker; when they get really light they look like Jaerhons to me. So I will be a terrible Legbar user and cross them up the yin-yang and breed 'em dark and striking!

ditto...I'm going to do the same thing. I love color. this is one of the two silver ameriucanas I bought for my little man.

What we'll be swapping in spring: I have about ten of the above, in various colors - they're serama moms x SQ silver-laced bantam cochin dad. They're going to spend the winter under a broad, fat (!) black silkie. I should be drowning in smooth sizzles by the time the first swap comes around. That's bantam pen 1; I have at least three other bantam pens and an as-yet-undetermined number of large fowl pens. Getting excited!
oh..ah..pretty...I love the color. what color is the mom?

I freaking LOVE that silver Ameraucana - where on earth did she come from?

That particular pullet was a black-breasted red (or close to it - as pure as Seramas ever are) serama mom. The dad is from Lucky Pickens. I adore him because when you cross him with anything red or gold the chicks are different colors. Boys end up columbian (white with black necks and tails) and girls end up frosted silver + whatever the mom is. And they're all fat and round and adorable.

my girl came from a swap. her breast is a salmon color.

I have a banty sl cochin hen. I was planning on breeding her to a red laced white cornish. hope I get some nice colors like yours.

That's so funny - we just picked up two white laced red cornish bantam pullets, and they're going under our silver laced cochin bantam rooster :). I'll be excited to see what both of us get.

did the black friday thing today. mostly got craft supplies.
X2 on the craft supplies. The Mall was not too bad and got the picture with Santa on CD ready for the mass seasonal mailing!

Fun day with the 3 year old.
Sold 2 legbar pullets this morning - I am psyched! Have a few uncrested and snall crested ones left and of course a slew of roosters...think I may need to start sharpening the axe in a few and preparing for some rooster stew.
