thanks for the pictures of the girls. how old are they?
I would have left them in too. it would break my heart to loose any one of them.
They were 14 weeks old on Monday and will be 20 weeks on Dec 24th. I'd like some blue Christmas presents but as its winter it'll most likely be longer.

As requested pics of the CL girls. They stayed in today as the hawk was there 1st thing this morning and again this afternoon.

Nice flock there puglady. Will be on the look-out for our resident hawk. He had a good winter the first year I had chickens. 3 CL girls are laying but no one else

A few of my young boys are looking promising do far. Can't wait to see what they throw.

I put this on the NH thread, but haven't gotten a response yet (well its only been one day but I am so excited to start hatching)

I am looking for eggs to hatch. Large fowl, preferably something pretty that lays pretty egg. Hoping to have them by 11/25 if possible. I know it's slow laying season but I just got my incubator and it's been running at 99.5 for a few days now :) With this being my first batch, I am looking for fairly inexpensive eggs.

NPIP certified flock only please

Love it! His brothers are turning out super, but of course don't have the little crest and I think yours is broader, better width across the body. And he obviously adores you, which I love.

The little puffy-crested CL baby rooster is still inside, and we'll probably keep him in for the winter. He's getting big, but we love him so much that I don't want to risk him out in the cold.
