Hi everyone. I've been busy hatching for the spring swap season. I was looking at the bunch I hatched 6/7 weeks ago and am hoping to cull some boys from our breeding programs. They have been out in the coop under a heat lamp for 2 weeks. Without being in the coop right now the ones I remember would be Black Laced Wyandotte (eggs directly from Foley birds), Barred Cochin, FBCM and Hedemora. There could be a couple of other breeds. The CLs need a couple of more weeks until I start weeding out those who wont be in the breeding program. Please PM me by Friday evening if your interested in any of these roos.

Oh and speaking of NPIP, which dieases does NH test for? Pullorum of course, but I read that different states test for different other diseases. What all does NH test for? And has anyone ever failed to pass the testing, that you know about? What do they do to your birds if you fail? Just curious! Hopefully all my birds will be peachy keen because they've all come from NPIP certified flocks, but it can't hurt to know all the facts.

2 diseases. Avian Influenza and Pullorum Typhoid.

The State tester told me that no one had tested positive for these. It is more monitoring to see if it shows up. So, not sure what happens"if".
