So I'm starting to plan my spring hatching project with my kiddos at school. Thinking we'll do a compare/contrast between chicks and ducklings this year. I think they will love it. I will be looking for fertile duck eggs. I would love mini appleyards, but I know they are hard to come by. Or maybe khaki campbells? I haven't kept ducks before... anybody have fertile eggs and want to sell me on a good newbie breed?
Counting down the minutes until spring.... :caf

I'm in southern maine and have fertile Welsh Harlequin eggs available right now if you are interested.
They lay 300-350 eggs per year and are fairly friendly if hand raised. Plus they lay year round even in the winter (they always out lay my chickens!)

That's a shame! Almost 2 hour drive for me. Really loved the Walpole swaps! :(

Chichester is quite far from me also.

Is there a reason for the swaps to only be at one location? If you don't mind me asking.

Nice website - good information for everyone there even if you don't sell or buy at the swaps. I won't be selling at the swaps but have driven out to the Chichester swap a few years ago and have to say I did enjoy the drive. I admire you for adding the state representative, it should give folks a better sense of security and help keep things in good condition. Good luck this year.
