Darn. Candia is a bit too far for me. About a two hour drive. Merrimack is even further.

Ossipee is essentially right down the road at about 45 minutes which is why I was hoping that there would be something there.

sunday sounds like the best day for what you are looking for.
There will be both types of quail.
someone contacted me today and said they will be bringing about 30 laying hens on sunday to griffinbrook.
two or three of my regular venders usually show up with better then average Silkies.
I have also scheduled a chicken BBQ and a raffle for feed & shavings.

any hepl with this problem would help

thanks

Hey Greg & others,

I'm going to start working on a website for the swaps so we have the information in one place (and can't get flagged), as well as (hopefully) a list of breeders of different types of chickens thus making it easier to find what you're looking for. I know WE'VE found BYC, but others might not know it exists. My hope is that whoever tries to find info about chickens, swaps, breeds, etc. in New Hampshire, will come across our site as well.

hi Laura,
it is great to hear that you are going to start working on our chicken swaps of nh website. greg and I wanted that to be a surprise for everyone to be revealed when it was up and running. we are very excited about all the improvements that are in the works for next season!! the cat is out of the bag on this one but there are many other things in the works as well.

Will anyone be bringing Polish cockerels they are selling? I just lost mine from 'sudden chicken death.' No reason at all. He was fine at 7am and gone at 10am when I went to check for eggs.

I would really like to replace him for the flock.

the craigslist flagging is absolutely ridiculous! ... ... has anyone tried putting it in the "EVENTS" in the community section? ... not really where we all look - but if it sticks there that'd be better then nothing

Anyone looking for D'uccle Cockerels - I have a few (too many) ... hate to see'em go but I know it won't be long before they stop getting along ...

hatched in May 7th (Kentucky Derby Day

) ...
(1) splash (I guess?)
(1) mille fleur / golden necked
(2) golden necked

I am definitely going to keep at least one ... the mille will probably have to go - as he's the most confrontational with my very mellow cochin roo (and the cochin's not leaving) ... so he'll probably do best with his own ladies

I'll try for some pictures ... if anyone is interested I can bring'em down

Afternoon everyone,

I've finally decided to go with silkies! Which is my love... So tomorrow ( in Candia ) Im planning on bringing my 8 RI Red Hens that just started laying a month ago to sell. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can sell them all and bring home some Silkies.... no Roo's.

Anyone interested in some RI Reds?
Anyone bringing Silkies?

Karie
