He is a cutie for sure. The BLRW's are doing good. They are in a breeding pen by themselves. She is finally deciding to start laying again. The one egg she hatched of her own turned out to be a roo so I didn't keep it.

Does anyone know if there are any chicken swaps planned for June....scheduling conflicts and so could not make it to either the one last week or the on tomorrow! Bummer

yup--it seems perfectly healthy and it is a beautiful black showgirl. the bag was tied shut and the baby was in there for a while before I tossed the bag. wondering how it was able to breathe and how it didn't get squished. the mom had peeled away half of the shell so there was no protection from impact with the other eggs.

The rain held off for the swap today. YAYYYYYYY!!!!!
Did okay but came home with three teenage chckens. They are gorgeous.
Had a great lunch at The Red Apple in Concord. They have a great buffet and a decent price.
Had my camera with me but completely forgot to take pictures............... Sorry.
