had a great time at the swap. it was nice to see everyone again. I came home with 2 standard Cochins, 2 RR, 3 BR, 1 Polish, 2 Bantam Cochins, 4 Buff Orpingtons and 2 silkies. Everyone settled in nice and went right for the food and water. Janet Im still looking for a couple baby Lisa's and Im also looking for Giant Cochins if anyone has any please PM me

wow---I only saw you buy a silkie. sounds like you made out great

. it was so crowded it was hard to see who was buying what. I just kept seeing people walking by with boxes. I even saw someone in the store with a wheeled cart with multiple crates with black tails sticking out. the lines at the cash register looked like the lines at the grocery store. I wanted some feeder bases but didn't want to stand in line. it was crazy busy. Lisa is currently living with a mottled old english game roo. I thought that would make some interesting kids. I will be putting her in a breeding pen with her real hubby who she loves(a black tailed white japanese). I still have alot of my birds together in winter pens. I have a standard size frizzled cochin roo and standard cochin hens that will be penned for breeding soon too.

let me know if you hatch any of her babies. her father was a white black tail Japanese and her Mom was a Red frizzle Bantam Cochin. I'm looking for a Giant Frizzle Cochin if you come across any.... Did you see all the kids carrying around chickens? Those were Mine but most of them went out in a big crate.

Oh yeah.....When I got home from the swap on Saturday I went out into the turkey pen to collect chicken eggs (don't ask me why the nesting boxes to the chicken coop open out into the turkey pen.....long story) we found 2 pretty speckled eggs compliments of my Bourbon Reds! They have been getting their turkey on for about a month now so it's about time!

We need to really get the word out on these swaps, especially the new ones and I am sure they will all be good ones. Greg has problems with people that like to mess with his ads on Craigslist so any help spreading the word is good. If you have facebook, that is a good place to let everyone know about the swaps. I have had many people tell me that they only came because they saw my ad on CL and FB.

I hope that the new swap at the new TSC in Brentwood turns out to be a good one. I will be so excited to have one in my local area.
