If you want something that takes MUCH LESS POWER the Brinsea EcoGlow 20 is a great little brooder heater. 2 watts.... count them... 1, 2! I use them at home and have one in the coop right now. Only been using it at night these days, the chicks are just going on two weeks. Everybody's happy!

I just bought one of those! I am glad you like it, I have chicks hatching tomorrow so I will be trying it out for the first time. Seems like a good option for warmer months, because my regular heat lamp would be so hot in the brooder house.

Great swap today. Its always fun meeting more chicken people! Looking forward to going to Gilford Agway tomorrow, it'll be our first time there. The older birds were a hit today but we left some home to bring up north with us for the folks up there. They should be laying within a few weeks and are always popular. Plan to get there early if you'd like a few. These are all hatchery sexed pullets:
