Its just now dawning on me how much people have really have known about chickens and yet somewhere along the lines we just say what we have all heard before without giving a second thought as to why we say the things we do.

none of us enjoy being: ALL COOPED UP

Your handwriting looks like: CHICKEN SCRATCH

PECKING ORDER: is a actual thing

DON'T COUNT YOUR CHICKEN BEFOR THEY HATCH: I get that now

Please add your CHICKEN THOUGHTS.

Talking with his brother always got John's hackles up, it was like walking on eggshells around that guy. Of course, if he weren't too chicken to do something about that money his brother STILL owed him, so he wouldn't have to keep scratching out a living with no hope of a nest egg, he could bring some respect upon himself and maybe turn the situation around. But John was no spring chicken anymore and he'd lived hard in his youth - the chickens were coming home to roost.

But there was no use worrying and fretting all the time. John would go home to brood over the challenges and triumphs of today and tackle each bridge as he came to it. Tomorrow was a new day and he could start from scratch. He'd never be in too much of a stew that he couldn't get out. He wasn't a bad egg, just a regular guy going through a rough patch. True, life wasn't everything it cracked up to be back in those days, but he could make the most out of it while he still had the chance!
