That's a significant improvement. When you see that, there's a very good chance she's now going in the right direction. If she starts to show interest in food tomorrow, she's on the mend. Continue the Tums for a few more days just in case, and monitor everything coming out of her butt.

I prefer to place such a patient on a thick towel to absorb fluids and also so I can see what she poops out. If there is an egg, you want to know if it's intact or if the contents are still inside the hen.

Also, a towel will let you know by its heft and degree of wetness if the patient is losing a very large amount of fluids. That can be significant, and often indicates a stuck egg.
