If you don't have a lot of spare time it's best to have the coop before you have the chicks - they grow FAST

I'm 5 feet tall. I planned my coop to be 5 feet, but forgot that the wood hangs down about 4 inches and there's going to be 2 inches of sand in the bottom, oops indeed!

Carrying baby chicks in your jacket/apron pockets when you're doing chores really helps to socialize them and get them used to being held. (Seriously. I have a rooster that is one year old and STILL tries to crawl in my pockets!)

Do a Google search but I'm betting that dry cleaning solvent will take it out.

I once sat in tree sap in my favorite pants. And even thought they were wash and wear, Google said that dry cleaning solvent would dissolve tree sap. So off to the cleaners they went and voila, it came out.
