Hi!
I was just trimming my 4-month-old chicken’s toenails when I cut a little too high and the nail started bleeding. I held it in some cornstarch for 30 seconds or so, and the bleeding slowed. She seemed to be fine, walking normally and not acting like she was in pain, but I’m still worried a little. Will it get infected? Should I bandage it? Was cornstarch okay to use? Please let me know! It would be a huge help!
Thanks!

Cornstarch was a very good choice.
No need for a bandage.
It will probably not get infected.
She will probably be fine, and you will probably not have to do anything more with that toenail from now until the next time it needs clipping :)

Okay, thank you!
