Lavender Orpington help

Here's a picture of mine at 24 wks. The comb on yours is what makes me think boy, but I hope I'm wrong! Mine still hasn't started laying yet and I worry she'll hold out until after Christmas haha. She's also my most skittish 😭.

Ours have the same frizzled butt feathers. At first I thought something was wrong with them until I learned it's linked to their recessive coloring.

I'm still guessing cockerel, but the body shape in the photos is round like our hens. If it were me, I'd keep waiting. As you can see, our hens have massively different comb sizes, Violet with a tiny speckled comb, Peony with a big red floppy one.

Note for the concerned: yes, those are huge melon chunks. It's 95F with an inversion and smoke from a nearby fire. There are more chickens than pictured. Just trying to cool the birds down.
See, these give me hope! Haha. Still know my luck she'll end up being a he. Good thing there's a rooster rescue near me that I can take him to if that's the case. I have a bantam that I have to take down there but I wanted to wait to know for sure on this one too so I don't have to drive there twice. Lol.
