Yesterday there was a raccoon attack on my chicken coop. 1 of the survivors has rooted herself in her egg box and won’t get out! What do I do to stop this?

Wait. Don't remove forcefully. She is clearly in a mental stage of shock and grief. just wait for her to come out. She will come out on her own and hopefully won't have a severe case of ptsd.Yesterday there was a raccoon attack on my chicken coop. 1 of the survivors has rooted herself in her egg box and won’t get out! I wouldn't move her. It would just stress her out more. I had two chicks lose their mother to a raccoon attack. They went through this type of shock also. When I moved them, I lost one to stress from the move. The chicken, even if not attacked directly, is likely in shock. She's scared and looking for a safe space to recover from that attack.
I'd leave her where she is for now, but talk to her gently reassuring her that she's ok. If you're so inclined and can do it without creating more stress, bring her into a garage or shed where it's quiet, warm, and above all SAFE, where she can feel secure. Provide plenty of food and water too...

What do we do in the situation of raccoons? You must have missed the part where I stated that "I'd leave her where she is for now".
All situations and birds are different, however, and we know little about this particular situation...
No, just one of them. In the first one all of them were eaten.Did this chicken survive BOTH of the raccoon attacks you allowed to happen? If so, it might take her a while to come out again. Poor thing...

You could kill it. Leave it be. It will come out when it's ready.I would like to get this resolved as quickly as possible because my kids are upset that they can’t play with it. What would happen if I force it out?
