My chicken tore off toenail all the way. I stopped the bleeding cleaned and wrapped. I
1. Should I soak everyday?
2. What would you put on it after?
3. Would you wrap it?
Now she is looking. Would you keep her separated from the rest. I have 4 chickens. I'm thinking one of the leghorns might be bullying a little.
Please help I'm new at this.

I’m not sure if this will work but I do know that for some animals when they rip of a toenail you can put a little bit of corn starch on the end and it will help the bleeding and heal faster. I am no expert but I thought I would throw it out there

Thanks it not bleeding anymore. I just need to know how to keep it from getting infected and why she is limping now?

Limping is likely due to pain. Is it just the nail or part of the toe too?

I'd probably spray it a few times a day with Vetricyn and just leave it uncovered to heal. I wouldn't isolate unless you have issues with bullying, or if you can't keep the area she's in dry (like an uncovered run). If you do need to isolate, ideally you want to keep the chicken in the coop or run so it remains in line of sight with the others, so you won't have to reintegrate it.

How old is this bird and do you have any idea how it happened?

Have had this happen several times, they healed up without any intervention.

If needed,
Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
You could add bedding for a foot injured bird
