Chicken tractor "density"

I think it will depend on how you want to raise them in additon to what your local enviornemnt will allow for. There's no one right way, so depending on goals, go ahead and try out differnet densities.

I usually do 8 in a 4x8 tractor with a 2x4 attached hutch. I do 8 largely due to the mess factor, and I only move coop once a week vs a few days, plus free range after a few weeks. It does take an extra week though to get the weight on them, adding the moving and cooler washington weather they are raised in.

We put 75 in our 80 Sq Ft tractors-this works fine for us.

I was just thinking of building an 10'X4' one for the minimum order of 25 from McMurray. Think that would work?
