Have you noticed any differences in the ability of different chicken breeds to learn tricks? Just by observing the chickens in my yard, I suspect that Old English and the Bantams like you have are some of the best learners, but I was also pretty impressed by your friend's Barred Rock!

Yes, there is definitely a difference between breeds. My school's ameraucana chicken is an excellent learner so I am hoping to get nantam ameraucanas in the future. I haven't had experience with many breeds but sometimes there are gems in a breed that generally wasn't an excellent trick chicken. Each personality of the individual chickens also influences their training.
