Younger is easier but I can take a year old game-hen or gamecock that is normally psycho for lack of handling and get it relatively quickly into point where is can be trained to voice. Younger is easier. Chicks easiest but pullet I am starting now is nearly 3/4 grown and has already tamed down enough for me to pick her up. Biggest limitation will be your approach. You will likely have to learn more than bird to get bird to do desired actions on cue; I always do. Keep distractions like dogs and small children out of picture during training. My distractions eat meal worms as readily as bird does.Centrarchid- is it too late for me to switch from clicker to voice?
Earlybird- you should try it- t is fun!
